INDIA LEVEL SERIES 1-1. HEAD ON TO AHMEDABAD FOR PINK BALL TEST
England registered a mammoth victory of 227 runs in the first test against India. Credits to the double hundred by the skipper Joe Root, and the extraordinary English bowling. India didn't stand a chance to get away with the first match.
The Chapter 2 of the series was written 3 days later, on the same ground of Chennai. India comfortably won the second match by 317 runs. Ashwin with a century in the third innings and 8 wickets helped India to cross the line.
With the series being leveled at 1-1, India and England head off to Ahmedabad for the third test to played from 24-28 February. The third match will be a day-night match and will be played with a pink ball. India has previously played only 2 pink ball matches, the third one being at Ahmedabad.
The Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad is the world's largest cricket stadium with a seating capacity of 1.2 lac. The first international match is to be played in the stadium on 24 Feb.
